A Ph. D., Suma Cum Laude, from the Mechanical Engineering Dept. at the Tel Aviv University. A Post Doctorate Degree from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Southern California, USA. He is a research associate at the Flow and Thermo-dynamics Institute at the Berlin Technical University (TUB), in Germany and has served as a lecturer in Test Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the Tel Aviv University.
Highly experienced in industry in ground and flight testing, including leading identification teams and reducing risks prior to system testing. He most recently served as the Head of Systems Engineering Administration at the MALAM plant of the Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd., which deals in the development of anti missile defense systems and satellite launching. Prior to that, Prof. Oster served as the Chief Engineer of the Arrow Missile Project, the Chief Engineer of the Leolink Company located in Toulouse, France and as the stratosphere altitude geostationary air ship program manager.
