Head of School Words

Dr. Deganit Armon The uniqueness of the studies for a Masters [sic – Bachelors?] Degree in Software Engineering at Afeka College is expressed with particular emphasis applied to the regular formulation and updating of the curriculum pursuant to the technological developments in the domain of software and for business needs in the industry. Thus, for example, during the past year, students studied and drilled the development of systems for mobile devices, such as smart phones.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering curriculum at Afeka College includes workshops at computer laboratories, and the crown jewel is the development of a software system from cradle to grave, within the ambit of the final project – a journey during which the students investigate and apply their technological expertise and knowledge that they accumulated during the course of their studies.

The staff at the Afeka College Software Engineering Dept. consists of about 30 lecturers and assistant lecturers, 17 of whom hold Ph. D. degrees and have proven academic and industrial experience. Add to this an affable and supporting learning environment, a learning experience in small sized class groups, and the personal relationship with the staff and lecturers, who accompany the students throughout the curriculum period and provide them with individual counseling, training and guidance.
